Nine Tail Fox Rising ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Mergelings (the "Game") or visit ninetailfoxrising.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically:

  • Game progress and settings. Stored on your device. May be synced via Apple Game Center, Google Play Games, or iCloud/Drive backup, depending on your device settings.
  • Device and diagnostic data. We (or our analytics providers) may collect anonymized data such as device type, operating system, language, crash reports, and general gameplay statistics to improve the Game.
  • Purchase records. If you make in-app purchases, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment card details — only confirmation of purchase.
  • Communications. If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence to respond to you.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifying information directly from players, and we do not require you to create an account with us to play.

2. How we use information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Game and Site;
  • Fix bugs, diagnose crashes, and develop new features;
  • Process in-app purchases via the relevant app store;
  • Respond to your questions and support requests;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party services

The Game and Site may rely on the following types of third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs its handling of your data:

The Game's core gameplay is free of advertising. If advertising is ever introduced (for example as an optional reward), we will update this policy and disclose any advertising partners involved.

The Game is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data retention

Anonymized analytics and crash data may be retained as long as needed to improve the Game. Email correspondence is retained as needed to respond to your request. You can delete locally stored game data by uninstalling the Game.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, the California CCPA, or similar regulations, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to processing. We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated via the Game or Site where reasonable.
